Conduct

At Hestia school, like any other school we have a few rules for you to follow whilst you are with us to keep you safe and to make sure you get the best out of your time with us.

We try to keep the rules brief and simple.

  • Attend all timetabled lessons. We know sometimes you may need a break within a timetabled lesson and that is okay, if you speak to the staff politely and calmly you can have some time out to calm and recharge.
  • Respect others. We want everyone to feel safe so we ask you not to use inappropriate language, no bullying, racist or discriminatory language
  • Dress code. We don’t ask you to wear an uncomfortable uniform but we ask you to come smart and work ready. This is to help prepare you for life outside school, so no big logos, football kits or hoodies please.
  • Respect property. If equipment is damaged then it is no longer available for you or others to use.
  • Remain on school site.  We need to ensure you are safe so we need to have you in our sight while we are responsible for you.
  • All phones and electronics must be handed in. We collect your phone at the start of the day and it is locked away for safe keeping. If you need to contact anyone during the day just ask.
